Cool Travel Gadgets

I’m not one of those people who is on the edge of technology – in fact, I consider myself to be fairly technologically challenged.  But, I enjoy reading about everything involving travel and have found some cool gadgets in one of the travel trade magazines I subscribe to.  Those of you who travel a lot have probably heard of some of these, but I thought I’d share some of the things I think would make traveling easier and even more fun.

MindSpa – treats jet lagTravelers plug a pair of Visual Stimulation Glasses and a pair of ear buds into a small device, choose a program, sit back and close your eyes as lights pulse and rhythmic sounds play.  This helps to reset body rhythms disrupted by long-haul flights and also aids in relaxation.

AirTamer – portable air filter  This device produces healthy negative ions to create a cleaner zone of air in planes or other spaces with poor air quality by forcing airborne pollutants away from your breathing space.  Can be worn around the neck, clipped to a shirt or blouse, or placed on a nightstand.

Ready Freddy – emergency kit  Contains a hand-cranked cell phone charger, flashlight that works when you shake it, food, water, tools, blankets, ponchos, waterproof matches, first aid kit and more.  It comes in a nylon backpack and weights 13 lbs.

Easy Travel Kits – never check bags againThe personalized kits include toiletries and personal items to last for a week for one traveler.  They are delivered pre-trip via US Priority Mail.

Boomerangit – An Internet-powered global registration system to return lost and stolen property (like cell phones, laptops and luggage) to their rightful owners.  The company provides coded security ID tags and registers items in their database.  An inexpensive way to mark valuables with hard-to-remove labels that also act as deterents.

Zuca Sport travel bag perfect for carrying on a plane or train, this versatile rolling carry-all features an integrated seat.  The lightweight aluminum frame can support up to 300 pounds.

I have not personally tried any of these products, but they all sound interesting.  If anyone has tried them I would appreciate you posting a review.
